Personals team is responsible for overall performance, availability, reliability and scalability of several large-scale systems involving several servers and gigabytes of data.
You'll work closely with software engineers, interaction designers, visual designers, user experience researchers, marketers, and product managers. You will have a strong command of XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, cross-browser compatibility issues, optimization techniques (both in file weight and perceived/actual rendering speed) and internationalization issues. You must have 2-3 years of industry experience with at least one year building CSS based layouts. Experience with PHP, Apache, Unix environment, and CVS is required. Knowledge of DHTML, browser degradation strategies, accessibility techniques, device-portability techniques is a plus. A Computer Science degree and/or related work experience with regular expressions and algorithms is a big plus.
